CAF Clears Akwa Ibom Stadium For Afcon Qualifier, Hails Its Facilities As One Of The Best In The World

Majority of Football loving Nigerians were puzzled when New NFF president Amaju Pinnick declared that the All-important AFCON 2015 qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa will be played in the Main bowl of the New Akwa Ibom Stadium within a month in office.

This move prompted the African Football Governing body CAF to send Mr. Fred Crentsi, the Vice-chairman of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) to inspect the facilities of the stadium as a CAF representative.

After inspection, he declared that he has seen so many stadium in the world and the Akwa Ibom Stadium is ranked among the best in world.
